Type: wine to be drunk immediately, but can evolve even after many years if well kept in the cellar. Colle alle Macchie is a vigorous but very elegant expression of Sagrantino, obtained from a single vineyard and aged for at least 36 months in large barrels. Colour: Colle alle Macchie has an intense ruby color, with some light garnet nuances in the nail. Bouquet: Elegant, rich and deep, with notes of black cherries, plums, red flowers, tobacco, humus, leather and undergrowth. Taste: on the palate it is lean and powerful at the same time, soft and energetic, with a firm but well-integrated tannic texture and very long persistence. Grapes: 100% Sagrantino. Pairings: aged carp and sheep cheeses, stewed red meat, game. Service temperature: 18-20 °C.
