Type: sweet red for meditation. Colour: deep purplish-ruby red. Bouquet: extraordinary and broad aromatic intensity and with fruity aromas and hints of blueberry, blackberry, cassis, prune and red jam; in the finish chocolate and sweet woody toasted notes. Taste: highly concentrated attack, balanced sweetness on vibrant acidity; solidly structured tannins with prolonged references to red jam. In the long persistence we find dark chocolate and spices. Grapes: 100% Sagrantino. Pairings: meditation wine with a particular taste, Sagrantino Passito is a wine which, like few others in the world, goes well with chocolate and in particular with spooned chocolate desserts (chocolate pudding ) or dry (chocolate cake or brownie), with dark chocolate flakes, but also with aged cheeses as well as dry desserts and blackberry or cherry jam tarts. Service temperature: 16-18 °C.
